Little League is an international pastime that has been a fabric of societies throughout the world for 75 years. Since its founding in 1939 by Carl Stoltz, Little League has instilled leadership, character, courage and loyalty in all that participate, including the nearly 1.5 million adult volunteers. Little League can be found in more than 80 countries worldwide with more than 2.4 million children participating each year. Little League has celebrated many milestones due to the dedication of its players, parents and volunteers.

Barrier Islands Little League currently offers the following programs:

SOFTBALLSOFTBALL
- Coach Pitch (Ages 6 to 8)
- Minors (Ages 8 to 11)
- Juniors (Ages 12 to 14)

* Please sign up for the division that corresponds with appropriate age for the 2023 season. Signing up for divisions by age doesn't necessarily mean you will play in that division. After tryouts your player may be invited to play up based on their ability.

Please use Age Calculator on our home page to determine league age for your player's program.

SPORTS CONNECT
There have been updates to the registration website host, Sports Connect. New users will be prompted to create an account. Previous users will need to follow these steps:
  • You will be prompted to create new login credentials by entering the email address associated with your Sports Connect account and create a new password.
  • The email address entered will need to be verified via a quick verification email sent to your inbox.
  • Once your email address is verified, you will be redirected to your account and will be logged in.
  • Moving forward, you will log in with your new credentials (email address and new password).

You will be asked to Upload your Birth Certificate and will need on file when filling out this registration. If you upload Birth Certificate in the past, you can bypass the upload.

You will also need to Upload your Drivers License if you are volunteering. Little League success is based on its volunteers, we have plenty of opportunities for you as parents to get involved during the registration process, especially in concessions and umpiring.

REGISTRATION FEES
The registration fee is $100 per player for all softball divisions. If you register by 1/2/23, you will receive a $10 per player discount. Siblings receive a $5 discount. All registration fees are non-refundable. Barrier Islands Little League is a nonprofit organization and operates on a tight budget with minimal carryover from year-to-year. The majority of the money collected for registration fees goes to uniforms, equipment, field supplies, and insurance. We use Concessions, Sponsorships, and Fundraising to help those who have hardships and cannot afford to pay some or all of the registration costs. You can apply for a grant to cover registration fees here. These funds also help pay the additional costs for field use, lighting, umpires, concessions, and cleaning. Refunds will be given on a case-by-case basis based on successful fundraising efforts, the understanding of potential financial hardship, and the overall cost incurred by the league at the time of request. We ask that if your child is not able to play, instead of a refund, you will accept a credit to use toward the next season. Given the expenses our program is faced with throughout the year, any donation is greatly appreciated.

*In years past, the League has previously offered a partial registration refund after four hours of volunteering during the season. However, we did not receive the volunteer interest as needed to continue offering the volunteer refund. The Board has decided to increase the registration fee to cover the cost of additional expenses.
