Little League is an international pastime that has been a fabric of societies throughout the world for 75 years. Since its founding in 1939 by Carl Stoltz, Little League has instilled leadership, character, courage and loyalty in all that participate, including the nearly 1.5 million adult volunteers. Little League can be found in more than 80 countries worldwide with more than 2.4 million children participating each year. Little League has celebrated many milestones due to the dedication of its players, parents and volunteers.

Barrier Islands Little League currently offers the following programs:

- Tee Ball (Ages 4 to 6)

- Coach Pitch (Ages 5 & 6) - for players aged 5-6 who have played one year of Tee Ball and are looking for the next step

- Coach Pitch (Ages 7 & 8) - for players aged 7-8 who are ready for more advanced Coach Pitch play

- Minors (Ages 9 & 10) - for players aged 9-10 this is the first division when players pitch

- Majors (Ages 11 & 12) - for players 11-12 this is the next step after Minors, known as the Little League division (the division that can make it to the Little League World Series!)

- Seniors (Ages 13,14,15, & 16) - played on a MLB regulation size fields: 60' mound & 90' bases

The registration fee is $75 per player for tee ball , $100 per player for Coach Pitch 5/6, and $125 per player for Coach Pitch 7/8 and up. Siblings receive a $5 discount. All registration fees are non-refundable. Barrier Islands Little League is a nonprofit organization and operates on a tight budget with minimal carryover from year-to-year. The majority of the money collected for registration fees goes to uniforms, equipment, field supplies, and insurance. We use Concessions, Sponsorships, and Fundraising to help those who have hardships and cannot afford to pay some or all of the registration costs. You can apply for a grant to cover registration fees here. These funds also help pay the additional costs for field use, lighting, umpires, concessions, and cleaning. Refunds will be given on a case-by-case basis based on successful fundraising efforts, the understanding of potential financial hardship, and the overall cost incurred by the league at the time of request. We ask that if your child is not able to play, instead of a refund, you will accept a credit to use toward the next season. Given the expenses our program is faced with throughout the year, any donation is greatly appreciated.

On or around the week of 1/14/24- players are required to attend one evaluation to be eligible for the draft, exact dates and times will be announced in January. If your player does not attend an evaluation, he will still be placed on a team.

Managers only required to attend on or around January 21, 2024

Will begin on or around week of January 28, 2024

Opening Day will be on Saturday, March 2, 2024

Games will average twice a week beginning week of March 4 for Majors/Minors/Coach Pitch 7/8, and week of March 9 for Coach Pitch 5/6 & Tee Ball.

Each player will need the following:

- Glove - Have players name written on it

- Plastic Cleats (not metal) - recommend wearing cleats, but not necessary, especially in younger divisions

- Pants - White or grey pants, full length or knicker-style

- Athletic supporter for boys - REQUIRED in Minors division and older for catchers

League will provide the following:

- Uniforms - Jersey, Hat, Socks, & Belt (belt varies for Tee Ball division)

- Helmets with facemask

- Bats - If you purchase your own, it must have USA Baseball stamp & be 2 5/8.

- Catchers Gear - Boys will need their own athletic supporter

There have been updates to the registration website host, Sports Connect. New users will be prompted to create an account. Previous users will need to follow these steps:

You will be asked to Upload your Birth Certificate and will need on file when filling out this registration. If you upload Birth Certificate in the past, you can bypass the upload. 

You will also need to Upload your Drivers License if you are volunteering. Little League success is based on its volunteers, we have plenty of opportunities for you as parents to get involved during the registration process, especially in concessions and umpiring.

Upon completion of your registration you will receive a confirmation email explaining important details on what you and your player will need for a successful season. PLEASE READ!!!!
